Year in Review – Planet Partitioning West, 2015
Planet West had a strong start to the year, securing the contract to the new European Space Agency (ESA SCSAT) UK’s branch in the spring. Designed by Wilson Mason Architects, Planet Partitioning worked under Bouygues UK who built the centre on a previously unoccupied site within the Harwell Business Park, Oxfordshire. The building will spans 14,870 square meters and provides space for around 100 members of staff working there full time. Planet will be supplied and installed our M100 system clad with full height double glazing and steel faced panels for the cellular offices. For more information on our work at ESA please see here
More recently Planet West have completed work at the new Horizon Nuclear Power offices in Gloucester Business Park. Harmesen Tinley Shanes designed the 60,000 sq. ft. regional headquarters for this international power company with Kier Construction leading the build. Planet West have supplied and installed p54 and FireTec doors on the ground floor and Planet 54 with both timber and SonoTec doors on the first and second floors.
2015 also provided brought Planet West back to Oxford University, this time with the Investcorp Building for the Middle East Centre at St Anthony’s College. Designed by Zaha Hadid, Planet West worked under BAM Construction supplying and installing FireStop and p100DG for this large expansion. The building won a 2015 Lux award for ‘Education and Healthcare Lighting Project of the Year’.
Other notable projects secured by Planet West in 2015 include; Cardiff & Vale College with Wilmott Dixon and BDP London, Imagination Technologies Kings Langley with Bowmer & Kirrkland and EPR Architects and Southampton University STEM Building.
