Utilising Demountable Partitioning

Over the past few weeks Planet Partitioning’s Head Office in West Sussex had been undergoing a renovation. With the team expanding and more space for desks and meeting rooms needed, the decision was made to dramatically overhaul the office layout using our own partitioning systems.

Removing a section of our demountable partitioning that divided the second floor in half and moving some meeting rooms freed up a lot of space for extra desks.

Now an impressive 3 meters of p54 single glazing and glass double doors greet visitors with the doors leading into the bustling office. The privacy manifestation band running along width of the glass creates the illusion of separate sections whilst allowing natural light to flood the space. The 3 meter tall double frameless double doors with offset fittings and floor springs blend seamlessly with the frameless partitioning, again giving the feeling of light and space in the office.

The requirement for more meeting rooms was met by adding a large boardroom and smaller, more casual meeting room for day to day discussions.

The smaller of the two meeting rooms was built with M100, with integral blinds, built within the glass partition cavity and controlled remotely to give the option of privacy but without taking up too much floor and visual space.

The large boardroom compromises of full height manifestation on Planet54 system with acoustic glass. A Sonotec40 door on hinges provides full visual transparency and 40 dBRw acoustic privacy.

The new layout shows that with a little planning and resourcefulness you can create extra workstation space within an existing building without compromising on light or your staff’s needs.
