Planet Partitioning Host Macmillan Coffee Morning
Last week Planet managed to raise £443.37 for Macmillan Cancer Research by taking part in their #macmillancoffeemorning cake sale.
The charity’s ‘biggest ever coffee morning’ challenged everyone the across the UK to bake it (or fake it) by baking or buying cakes to sell at work or at home, all in the name of raising money for cancer support. One in three of us will face cancer during our lives and Planet are delighted to do our bit for an amazing cause and be able to eat cake as well (literally!).
With our offices in Burgess Hill, Tamworth, Leeds and Bromborough taking part, Planet staff across the regions rose to the challenge and baked a total of 37 cakes, scones, flapjacks and brownies to sell. Crowd pleasers included Natalie’s Mocha cake in Tamworth and James’ Triple Layer Victoria Sponge in Burgess Hill.
The world’s biggest coffee morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. So far they have raised over £138 million over the years.
