Planet Partitioning are Delighted to Welcome Apprentice

Planet Partitioning are delighted to have employed a new apprentice to work at our Southern Division. With the government publishing new proposals for apprenticeships in August, offering extra support to smaller companies taking on 16-18 year old apprentices, we feel that the UK Construction and Sub-Contractor industries should be encouraging apprenticeships. A great way to start a career in the industry apprentices get paid while they study and make important connections & hand on skills.

Our apprentice; Josh, 17 started with our southern division on 5th September as a Junior Contracts Surveyor. He will be undertaking an apprenticeship programme to obtain a BTEC NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations in order to understand, learn and ultimately carry out the role of Contracts Surveyor. As Junior Contracts Surveyor Josh will learn how to manage the costs relating to projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.

Over the 2 years of his course, Josh will gain experience both in the office and on-site, as well as acquiring valuable health and safety training from our Health & Safety Director. He will also continue his education by attending college every Tuesday. Planet are now looking to expand our intake of apprentices.

Planet would like to take this opportunity to welcome Josh to the team.
