Frameless angled glazing

Using a concealed steel head and base clamp system, Planet are able to provide striking angled glazing that will complement the most adventurous of building designs. Glass panels can either be spaced apart with a gap or alternatively connected using a silicone joint.

Frameless Single Glazing

Planet single glazing can be used in your building Atrium to provide maximum visibility with no vertical mullions. We have solutions to meet all performance specifications and applications.

Frameless double glazing

Where enhanced acoustic performance is required, Planet double glazing can be used, providing certified acoustic attenuation up to 54dB Rw. In addition, integral venetian blinds can be installed between the glass panels.

Mullioned system

Where a more modular look is required, Planet can provide one of their framed systems to meet the design brief. Glass thickness can often be reduced as a result of using this specification.

Glass spandrel panels

Where the building design calls for a discreet flush transition between floor to ceiling glazing, glass spandrel panels provide an excellent solution. The glass can be frosted, back-painted or filmed to almost any colour or design that is required.

Steel spandrel panels

We can design, supply and install steel panelling to cloak off the slab edges and ceiling voids to complement our frameless Atrium glazing systems. The end result is a sleek look with exceptional durability. Panels can be accessible if required.

Planet can offer a wide variety of timber finishes for use in spandrel locations. We are able accommodate your needs, whether you require a flush veneered board or horizontal Cedar cladding – we will be pleased to assist. Please contact us to discuss your individual design.

Custom Designed System

Planet were commissioned by BAM to engineer a bespoke version of our standard products to meet challenging requirements at their prestigious Laboratory of Molecular Biology project in Cambridge.

A telescopic double glazed system with a doorframe was designed, setting the glass flush on both sides, with an ability to adjust to varying wall widths.

This project won the Gold AIS  Award for partitioning in 2013.

Atrium Boxes

Using polyester powder coated steel frames, we can provide feature glazed boxes that can be used in Atrium locations. In addition, we can even provide 30 minute fire ratings, as shown in the application.

Switchable Glass

Switchable glass can be used in both fixed glazing panels and doors. At the flick of a switch, the glass will transform from clear to opaque. This glass is compatible with all Planet partitioning systems.

Freestanding Glass

Using our Elite glass fittings, Planet can offer a vast range of free standing glazed walls. Support can be provided by a deep base track, dropped support rods from the soffit – or even by the use of four sided ( or circular ) structures as shown in these images. Consult with your local office for specific project advice.

Glass can be used to clad virtually any existing structure with stunning results. Any shape or size is possible and we can conceal fixings, provide cut outs for switches along with the option of any colour that you may desire.

There are a number of solutions that offer glass or timber doorsets within fire rated glazing.

A slimline aluminium doorframe, incorporating a glass leaf, that offers E30 to  stainless steel profiled EI60 doors, has been used in our projects.
